Business Licences and Permits

We currently licence, regulate and govern one business licensing category for Hawkers and Pedlars. The bylaw governing this activity comes from the Town of Clinton Bylaw 23-1990.

Hawker and pedlar

A Hawker and Pedlar licence is for you if you go place to place or to a particular place with goods, wares or merchandise for sale. Every year we look at the Fee Bylaw and adjust the licensing fee if needed, presently it is set at $100.00 for a single event up to a maximum of seven consecutive days or $300.00 annually. If you fail to comply with the regulations of this bylaw including failing to obtain a licence than you may be subject to a penalty not exceeding the maximum penalty recoverable under the Provincial Offences Act.
